Venosc

Chalet Morville is located in the village of Venosc, a picture postcard medieval village with cobbled streets, a 14th Century church, artisanal shops and traditional restaurants.

For winter activities, Venosc is in the enviable position of having direct access to the resort of Les Deux Alpes via a telecabine link. We are therefore able to offer luxurious accommodation in a traditional village environment – definitely the best of both worlds for your ski holiday.

The telecabine is a short walk away, but we offer a chauffeur service each morning to whisk you down to the telecabine departure point in a matter of minutes. We then again collect you at the end of each day. It is possible to leave your skis, boards and boots with one of the ski hire shops beside the pistes, so from the top of the telecabine, the five minute walk to the pistes can be done comfortably in normal shoes.

In summer, Venosc is perfectly positioned for accessing the cycling cols for which this area of the alps is famous . For instance, the base of Alpe d’Huez is an effortless warm up ride of 13 km (8 miles) away, and the start of the Col du Lauteret just 8km (5 miles) away. Venosc is easily accessed from the region’s main town, Le Bourg d’Oisans, via the gently inclining and picturesque D530 road. The D530 is also the gateway to the Ecrins National Park and La Berarde, famous for its alpine climbing and glacial trekking. The Venosc village telecabine is also open in summer for easy access to the Les Deux Alpes resort and its summer glacier skiing and mountain biking trails.
